Vehicle Description 1968 Firebird Convertible.
350 V-8 engine w four barrel carburetor (originally a two barrel) Four speed automatic overdrive transmission (originally a three speed) Frame off restoration completed by previous owner in 2009 2,558 miles since the complete frame off restoration by previous owner Center Console, Cold Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Top, Boot Cover, Car Cover, Excellent paint with a couple of pinhead size chips, Red body, black top, red interior that pops (I get the most positive comments on the interior color), Red Line Tire (excellent tread), and a Black Vinyl Top that was replaced in May 2020 with a zip out glass back windshield.
Clean Title in the State of Georgia.
The cost to own this is very little as I pay about $200 a year in insurance and $20 for the annual tag fee.
The car's body tag shows originally a 350 2 barrel, 3 speed transmission in Verdero Green with a gold interior and black top.
I've taken a picture of the body tag so you can research it yourself and also have paperwork that shows everything on the car.
I am hyper critical regarding details so there are a couple of things to know that I was not aware of when I bought the car.
I replaced the center console cover due to the color being faded and bubbling a bit.
I have the original and will send it with the vehicle.
It has a USA-630 Classic Radio is installed but not powered.
I'm not sure if it's a fuse or wiring but it never has mattered to me enough to crawl under the dash to fix it as I have a small Bluetooth portable speaker that I use with my phone.
The speedometer is not calibrated correctly and runs about 15% under the speed you are actually going (I'm a cruiser, so again it doesn't matter to me).
The horn needs a spring in the center to operate properly.
I have disconnected it for the time being.
There is a small chip in the top of the passenger side window that doesn't show when rolled all the way up or down.
In the last year in my garage, it has probably dripped well under a 1/4 cup of oil slowly.
None of these issues were worth looking into repairing or me but they would be simple issues if you wanted to do the repairs.
The engine is the absolute cleanest I've ever seen on a driver like this.
It's show quality if you want it to be but I was always more interested in enjoying it driving around town or in the mountains on the weekends.
Please don't call with a lowball bid and waste both our times.
I've scratched my itch and want to do other things with the money.
Take this opportunity to purchase a wonderful collector car.
