2 years Full Job Description We are a small office looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team.
This is a permanent part-time position of 20 hours per week, 5 flexible hours per day from Monday-Thursday.
This position will work closely with our payroll department and Accounting Staff.
The majority of this position will be assisting with processing payroll, sorting mail, answering the phone, responding to HR related mail and inquiries, and running office errands
Responsibilities:
Backup payroll process.
Create union reports.
Check, respond, and distribute mail.
Answer and forward all phone calls.
Maintain filing system.
Upload worker's comp reports.
Assist with worker's comp audits.
Occasionally run errands as needed (post office, bank, etc.
) Responsibilities occasionally will require an adjusted work schedule to cover payroll department.
Other office projects as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
