The Customer Account Representative performs all administrative job tasks related to accurate processing of customer orders and billing and acts as liaison between Customers, Sales and Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
1.
Performs administrative support to all departmental team members.
2.
Verify product availability with plant inventory to ensure the filling of customer orders.
3.
Review the Accounts Receivable Aging and collect on past due invoices.
4.
Process and clear authorized customer deductions.
5.
Backup to the front desk receptionist and consumer service specialist.
6.
Set up and maintain Customer Bill to/Ship to accounts.
7.
New set up of customers must follow the Corporate Credit guidelines.
8.
Analyze purchase order to determine price bracket including off invoice and bill-back promotions, weight calculation, case quantities and ship method.
9.
Verification of pricing.
10.
Process Accounts Payable check requests; payments for promotions-both direct and indirect accounts; and other related A/R payables.
11.
Maintain customer billing/credit memo and deduction files.
12.
Collection of past due invoices and invalid deductions.
13.
Process payback letters to customers.
14.
Process backup requests to brokers and customers as necessary.
15.
Process customer deductions.
16.
Determine validity of deductions in order to issue credits with correct promotions and/or General Ledger codes.
17.
Work with Sales Managers in clearing deductions.
18.
Prepare and process check requests for direct and indirect promotions, ads, slotting and etc.
19.
Research customer accounts as needed.
20.
Insures fair, equitable and respectful treatment of all employees.
21.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School General Education Diploma or equivalent.
Some college strongly preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in customer service, resolution specialist, and/or general office experience in an administrative role that includes various Clerical and Accounting functions (A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.
).
Intermediate to advanced Internet application skills.
Fluent in oral and written communication in English.
Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft business applications and various reporting software.
