STOREMANAGER REPORTS TO:
TERRITORY MANAGER POSITION
Summary:
The Manager performs and directs overall c-store management.
Directs staff to ensure that safety, guest service, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Maintains standards of safety and security.
Recruits staff and oversees training programs.
Responsible for inventory and money control systems - may establish inventory schedules.
Responsible for monthly marketing initiatives - may contact prospective customers to promote sales.
Maintains business records.
Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
TASKS AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Completes and posts the staff work schedules.
2.
Recruits, rewards and terminates staff as needed.
3.
Communicates changes of procedures, standards, etc.
to staff.
4.
Ensures that all local and state and national health and safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed.
5.
Completes Daily Reporting and maintains business records, per Clipper guidelines.
6.
Analyzes business records to increase sales and lower costs.
7.
Communicates all important issues on a timely basis directly to the Territory Manager.
8.
Supports local marketing initiatives.
9.
Works with Marketing Team and Vendors to provide a clean, well-stocked store that is inviting to our guests.
10.
Maintains a safe store for our Team Members and Guests.
11.
Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
12.
Plans special events and promotions.
13.
Completes all training courses as directed.
PREREQUISITES Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience & Skills:
A minimum of two (2) years in a restaurant or retail environment, experience in supervising and training staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess a valid state issued driver's license.
Physical:
Must be able to work any area of the c-store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.
Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions:
C-Store environment with some exposure to discomforting conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and noise from cooling units.
Physical demands are moderately heavy, limited to lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally climbing of ladders.
Will be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
